Maximum laser working length, subject to material and handling.
Materials & production methods
Choose the finish around the job it must do.
We combine CO₂ laser engraving and cutting with direct-to-product UV printing and permanent printed decals. Material, coating, artwork and end use are checked before the production method is agreed.
Subject to safe positioning, focus and processing clearance.
Maximum working area on suitable products and flat objects.
Maximum item height within the Omni O1 working area.
Maximum size for one individual permanent printed image.
Process guide
What each method is best suited to.
Engraving & cutting
Precise profiles, holes, lettering and engraved detail in compatible sheet materials and products.
- Cast acrylic and laser-safe engraving laminates
- Suitable timber, plywood and finished wood products
- Paper, card, leather and approved specialist materials
- Custom profiles, slots, layered pieces and components
Full-colour product printing
Artwork, photographs, branding and variable detail printed directly onto compatible flat or supported products.
- Acrylic, coated board and suitable rigid panels
- Coasters, presentation pieces and product components
- Short-run branded and personalised products
- White ink, colour and raised-detail trials where suitable
Colour applied to prepared products
Printed transfers for compatible hard surfaces where direct printing is not the best practical approach.
- Product branding, cases and equipment identification
- Glass, acrylic and selected coated surfaces
- Short-run decal sheets and variable information
- Application and adhesion tested before repeat supply
Cut, engrave and print
A single product can combine shaped components, engraved detail and colour print when the material and construction allow.
- Layered plaques and reception signs
- Colour-filled or colour-detailed acrylic engraving
- Registered engraving and UV print on the same piece
- Retail displays, menu holders and information stands
- Awards, presentation pieces and product prototypes
- Short-run ranges with repeatable dimensions
Acrylic detail
Engraved depth with controlled colour.
Acrylic can be engraved and then developed with contrasting colour, or engraved and UV printed as one coordinated design. This can create clearer lettering, branded detail, tactile areas and layered visual effects without turning the piece into a large-format sign.
- Colour applied within selected engraved areas
- UV colour registered to engraved lettering or graphics
- Clear, coloured, mirrored or engraving-laminate trials
- White ink and opacity tests on clear or dark acrylic
- Sample approval for depth, alignment and adhesion
Metal surface marking
CO₂ laser marking with a suitable marking compound.
Selected metals can be surface marked using the CO₂ laser with a compatible marking spray or compound. This creates a bonded, high-contrast surface mark; it is not deep engraving and it does not cut or remove the metal.
Possible uses
Identification plates, equipment labels, serial information, small branded plates and durable text or graphics.
Test before production
Alloy, surface finish, coating, preparation and required contrast are checked on a sample before a repeat run.
Sampling & development
The maximum size is only the starting point.
The usable area can be reduced by product shape, fixtures, edge clearance, surface texture, bends and artwork position. A sample can confirm appearance, adhesion, fit and loading before a larger or repeat order.
- Confirm exact overall dimensions and available flat area
- Identify the material, coating and intended environment
- Supply vector artwork or the best available source file
- State quantities and any changing names, numbers or codes
- Agree fixing, cleaning, packaging and target date
Start with the finished use
Send the product, material and artwork details.
We can then recommend laser work, direct UV printing, a permanent decal or a tested combination of processes.
